Navigating Wellness Together

 

Hello wonderful women of wellness! I'm Christina Kanter, founder of Desert Bloom Restorative, and I'd like to share a bit about the journey that led to this incredible community.

Coming from a working-class family, I observed my parents' hard work and sacrifices to provide for us. This instilled in me not just a strong work ethic but a deep sense of empathy and a burning desire to make a positive impact.


Entering the workforce at 15, I navigated through the hospitality and medical industries, excelling but also facing high-stress environments. Fast forward to my early thirties, and the constant pressure took a toll on my physical and mental health. Bouncing between specialists without clear answers, I hit a breaking point.


In one of the scariest decisions of my life, I left my stable career and embarked on a journey into wellness. Listening to my body, I took ownership of my health, exploring functional medicine and making significant lifestyle changes. This transformative period led to the birth of Desert Bloom Restorative.


Through my experiences, I realized the need for a supportive community for women facing various challenges. Desert Bloom Restorative became a haven for those seeking connection, support, and inspiration on their wellness journeys. It's not just a space; it's a place where women from all walks of life can find support, direction, and community.


Looking back, every tear, hardship, and moment of growth brought me to this community. If my story resonates with even one person, and Desert Bloom Restorative makes a positive difference, our mission is fulfilled. Here's to the journey, and here's to all of you!

 We understand the world of wellness can be intimidating and at times just plain information overload. This is why we pride ourselves in taking a relaxed approach towards wellness through our Women’s Day Retreats and community events.



We offer a wide range of services that are designed to meet the needs of our community.  Our pop-up retreats and events serve as catalysts for personal growth, connection, and self-discovery, providing a supportive environment where women can explore different modalities and gain practical tools to enhance their well-being.  And most importantly to have FUN while we're doing it!



We sprinkle in a little bit of fitness, artistic expression, mindfulness, community support, and a whole lot of fun, knowing that one size does not fit all. Meet Autumn Swinbank-Milanez | Chief Operating Officer

My Deep Dive into Wellness

Hello, beautiful souls of the wellness world! I'm Autumn Swinbank-Milanez, the Chief Operating Officer at Desert Bloom Restorative. This is my journey to wellness and ultimately, what lead me to Desert Bloom Restorative. 


Growing up in SoCal suburbs with a blue-collar background, I developed a robust work ethic early on. I entered the beauty industry at 18, working with major U.S. brands for the last 20 years. Event planning became a significant part of my journey, leading me to the evolving intersection of beauty, wellness, and self-care. 


My deep dive into wellness, sparked by grief, revealed its transformative power through meditation, fitness, nutrition, and a supportive community of women. This journey revealed the importance of self-care, a lesson for everyone, regardless of life's stage.


When our founder, Christina, proposed Desert Bloom Restorative, I eagerly embraced the idea, drawing from my varied experiences. Our community is more than a retreat; it's a haven for women, fostering safety, support, and inspiration. I invite you to join us on this beautiful journey of self-care – where wellness is for everyone.

 We understand that life happens, and unforeseen circumstances may arise.


For full-day or half-day retreats: If you notify us at least 10 days prior to the event date, we can issue a refund for the ticket cost, excluding the non-refundable deposit. If cancellation occurs within 10 days of the event date, we will provide you with credit for the ticket, applicable towards our next full day retreat. This credit must be utilized within 90 days of the initial event date. 


For mini events (non-day retreat community events): Full refund available for cancellations made up to 7 days before the event date. 50% refund available for cancellations made between 7 days and 48 hours before the event date. No refunds for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event date or for no-shows.


In the event that the workshop is canceled by the organizers, participants will receive a full refund.

We provide a diverse array of events, ranging from full-day retreats to smaller-scale community-building gatherings. Our pop-up Women's Wellness Day Retreats are typically scheduled every 2-3 months. If you can't make it to this one, don't worry – we'll have another one coming your way soon! Additionally, our mini community-building events are held during the months when we do not have full retreats scheduled, along with various collaborations, immersive workshops, wellness markets, and non-profit volunteer opportunities.

 We're available for private events—baby showers, birthdays, bachelorette parties, you name it! Contact us today for event inquiries, and let's make it happen. 

 It's absolutely okay if you can't stay for the entire event. This day is about you, so if you need to leave early, just let us know, and that's perfectly fine. 

Secure your spot hassle-free! We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) and PayPal through our convenient PayLinks feature. Enjoy peace of mind as you book your tickets with your preferred payment method. 

 We carry comprehensive liability insurance to ensure a safe and professional environment for all our events and partnerships. Additionally, participants may be required to sign waivers as part of our commitment to safety and to outline the terms of participation. This helps us provide the best experience while managing risks responsibly.
